Coyotes and humans have been enemies for generations. A popular bumper sticker says it all: 'Eat lamb. One million coyotes can't be wrong!'
Yet despite this enmity, coyotes continue to flourish, no doubt because their considerable versatility and intelligence are more than a match for the 'pest controllers'.
Since wolves and grizzlies are no longer a problem for coyotes, only humans cause them any trouble. Ironically, the campaign against them costs the tax payer more than the damage they do!
